JLFP to Host Summer Feeding Program

Written by on May 15, 2020

The Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry (JLFP), in partnership with the The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, will be hosting a Summer Feeding Program beginning Monday, May 18, 2020.

Starting Monday, and continuing through the summer, JLFP will be serving grab-and-go meals to all children under the age of 18. These meals are available to Minden residents only. At this time children do not have to be present to pick up because of waivers put in place due to COVID-19. This could change at any time as the pandemic comes to a close.

Pickup will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, located at 814 Constable Street near the fair grounds. Those picking up will need to come to the food pantry door located on E. Crestview Street. No paperwork is required. Drive-in or walk-up. On Fridays, kids will also receive a bag of food that children can prepare themselves through the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana’s Backpack program.
