Gary Wayne Wallace

Graveside services for Gary Wayne Wallace will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Old Athens Cemetery in Athens, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Eddie Balance.

Gary was born on October 31, 1954. He fought a courageous 2 1/2 months battle with Covid before passing away on January 17, 2021 at the age of 66.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, L.B. and Lorraine Wallace and baby sister Judy.

He is survived by his by his sisters, Lorry Ann Crocker and husband Benny and Mary Ann Nixon; brother, Larry Wayne Wallace and wife Debby; special aunts, Betty May and Faye Wallace; special nephew, Brad Holloway whom Gary considered a brother, friend, and hunting buddy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. It got exciting when the Steelers played the Cowboys and Gary’s cousin Huey Earl were together. Gary also loved hunting, fishing, chocolate pie and playing Wahoo. He attended church at New Hope Baptist Church and worked at Cameron’s Veterinary Hospital in Minden for over 25 years.
