Marie Pickett White

Marie Pickett White, 84, of Sibley, Louisiana, left this world on November 8, 2020 after a long battle with cancer and Parkinson’s Disease. She was born to the late Robert Marshall and Nettie Pickett in July, 1936 in Sarepta, Louisiana, was Salutatorian and graduated from Dubberly High School in 1954.
Marie Married Lory White in 1972 and they lived together in the Minden-Sibley area for 49 years. Marie is survived by her husband, Lory White of Sibley; children, Keith Mitchell of Minden, Donna Dardar of Mandeville, Marcia Shannon of Monroe, and Monica Atkins of Jonesboro. She is also survived by 1 daughter-in-law and 3 sons-in-law, 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Marie was predeceased by her precious granddaughter, Lori Turner Salzwedel in 2015.
Marie Loved sports…from her glory days in high school, as an all-star basketball player, and later to her extensive love of the great outdoors, excelling in fishing and hunting. She loved life and she loved her family and friends.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Providence Cemetery in Ringgold, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Milton Geltz. The family will have a time of visitation at 10:00a.m. at Providence Cemetery prior service time.
