Theresa Parrie Stovall

Theresa Parrie Stovall, 75, of Minden, LA passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2020, after a long battle with various illnesses.

Born on January 22, 1945 in Zwolle, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late A.J. Callender and Maggie Callender.

She is also preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Tammy Stovall Shaw.

She is survived by her daughters, Darla Pate (Jeff) Heflin, LA, and Stacey Burt (Monty) of Minden, LA.

Also surviving are sisters, Elizabeth Strange of Minden, LA, Mary Walston of Minden, LA, Patricia Brogdon (Jack) of Haughton, LA, Gay Lewis (Michael) of Minden, LA, Janice Murph of Minden, LA, Blanche Denman of Minden, LA and Sharone Malone (Randy) of Haughton, LA. She is also survived by three brothers, Robert Callender (Loretta) of Arlington, TX, Wayne Callender (Jill) of Minden, LA and Keith Callender (Susan) of Minden, LA, and four grandsons, Jerry Pate (Stacey) of Ringgold, LA, Cameron Pate of Heflin, LA, Jacob Burt of Minden, LA and Jarett Burt of Minden, LA.

Also, numerous nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to her as “Aunt Tita.”

Her sister, Elizabeth Strange, lovingly cared for her in the last several years of her life. She was also cared for by the Town and Country Nursing Home in Minden, LA and the ICU at Willis Knighton Hospital in Bossier City, LA in her final days. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Theresa their greatest and warmest gratitude.

The visitation is from 9>00 A.M. to 11:00 A.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. A memorial service celebrating her life will immediately follow the visitation.
