George Emmett Gloer

Graveside service for George Emmett Gloer will be held Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Gardens of Memory in Minden, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. Rev. Frank DeLoach will officiate.

George was born September 27, 1940 in Bryceland, Louisiana and entered into rest April 30, 2020 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served his country in the United States Navy. George had worked for 4-G Contractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents W.L. and Mary Frances Gloer, son Michael Walker, brother David Gloer, and sister Dale Milam.

He is survived by his sons Mark Gloer and girlfriend Deronda Kendrick and Chad Gloer and his wife Rachel, daughter Terry Yelvington and husband Tim, grandchildren Reagan, Payton, Cheyenne, Heather, Sarah, Lauren, Alex, and Kelly, and numerous great-grandchildren.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Savannah Court in Minden, the nurses of St. Joseph Hospice, and St. Joseph Carpenter House.
