Mary Sue Pearson Miller

Mary Sue Pearson Miller was born July 18, 1937 to Ben and Minnie Lee (Gray) Pearson in Minden, Louisiana. She was raised in Minden and attended school at Minden High. In 1954, she married J.D. Miller. She was a devout Christian and a member of the First Pentecostal Church for over 50 years. She loved her church and loved her family dearly. Mary worked many years as a CNA at Schumpert Hospital, Homer Hospital, Minden Medical Center and Northwest State School. Later, she worked as a Sitter with the homebound.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Minnie Lee Pearson, brothers, Billy Wayne “Pete: Pearson and Larry Pearson; sister, Ruby Pearson; sister in law, Lula Pearson.

She is survived by her children, James Miller and Kathy of Richmond, Virginia; Jesse Miller of Minden; Rita McNeill and husband Randy of Doyline; Sandra Chatham and husband Wayne of Minden; grandchildren, Randall Miller and wife Amanda; Jacob Chatham and wife Cheryl; Daniel Chatham and wife Jessica; Ben Miller; Laura Miller Pfeiffer and husband David; Drew McNeill and wife Sarah; Casey McNeill; Mary East and Hayley East. Great-grandchildren, Bryce, Eli, and Lane Miller; Anya Chatham; Paxton Smith and Clara Rose Pfeiffer. Brother, Doug Pearson; sisters, Betty Shaw; Margaret Osbon and husband Glenn; brother in law, Dave and wife Dottie; sisters in law, LeeAnn Pearson; and Linda Pearson.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Jacob Chatham, Daniel Chatham, Drew McNeill, Randall Miller, Ben Miller, and Casey McNeill.

Graveside services will be held Friday, October 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Minden Cemetery under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home with Randall Miller officiating.
