Graveside services for Lula Mae Day Pearson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Gilgal Cemetery, 2991 Old Arcadia Road, Minden, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Adcock and Rev. Jeff Ramsey.
Lula was born November 23, 1941, shortly after her identical twin sister, to Louis Day and Daisy Matthews Day in Ringgold, LA. She passed away peacefully at her home in Minden on Monday, October 19, 2020.
She faithfully attended the Pentecostal Church for 60 years. She enjoyed shopping the antique stores and flea markets, spending time outdoors, watching deer play in her backyard and being with family. You were always greeted with a loving hug from her. On your birthday she would call and sing to you.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ben Douglas Pearson, a daughter, Sharon Holley, two sons, Kevin Pearson and wife Pam and Tracy Pearson. Six grandchildren, Brandon Holley, Heather Halverson, Dana Duke and husband Brad, Nathan Pearson and wife Jessica, Jessica Evans and husband Shannon, Trevor Pearson and wife Julie. Twelve great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren. Five sisters-in-law, Mary Miller, Betty Shaw, and Margaret Osbon and husband Glen, LeeAnn Pearson and Linda Pearson.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
Pallbearers will be great grandsons, Hunter Holmes, Chase Holley and Colton Halverson, her nephews, Donnie McWilliams, Johnathon McWilliams and Daryl Osbon.
