James T. Morris

James T. Morris was born December 7, 1937 in Heflin to Raymond Morris and Maxine Maxey Morris. He entered into rest on June 17, 2020 in Minden, Louisiana.
Visitation will be Friday from 12 till 1 at City on a Hill Pentecostal Church 612 Hwy 531 Minden, Louisiana. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Adcock. Burial will be at Andrews Chapel Cemetery, Heflin, Louisiana.
James worked as a roofer for over 50 years. He loved horses, hunting, and always had a huge garden. He loved to work in the garden and share his vegetables with family and friends.
James didn’t have any children, but all the nieces and nephews were like his own. He loved teaching them to ride horses, taking them to Rodeos and was always there to help if they needed him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Effie Ward and Betty Bramlett, and one brother Edgar Morris.
He is survived by his brothers, Eugene (Lillian) Morris and Earl Morris both of Minden. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends and family.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
