Sammy D. Thrash

Funeral services for Sammy D. Thrash will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden, Louisiana with Rev. Gevin Spiney officiating and Rev. Chet Johnson assisting. Interment will follow at Haughton Cemetery in Haughton, Louisiana under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.

Sammy was born June 14, 1934 in Newton County, Mississippi and entered into rest March 4, 2020 in Ruston, Louisiana. Sammy had a lifetime of service to the oil and gas industry where countless friendships and relationships were made.

He is survived by his wife Annette Thrash of Minden, sons Stephen Thrash and wife Becky of Laurel, Mississippi, Dana Thrash and wife Jennifer of Ruston, Micheal Thrash and wife Wendy of Allen, Texas, daughters Cyndie Minters of Seattle, Washington, Delene Sadler and husband Ken of Bossier City, Pina Caldwell and husband Billy of Laurel, Mississippi, stepchildren Carla Gray and husband Terry, Greg Smith and wife Nina all of Minden, brother Tony Thrash of Minden, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Sadler, Brandon Thrash, Sam Caldwell, Hunter Birky, Aaron Jorden, and Nick Cassell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Byrd and Rhonda Drach.
