Greater Minden Chamber Holds 79th Gala

The Greater Minden Chamber held its 79th Chamber Awards Gala Thursday night at the Minden Civic Center. The highlight of the evening was the awarding of the Man and Woman of the year awards.
The 2021 Man of the Year award, presented by the Minden Lions Club, went to Jake Chapman and the 2021 Woman of the Year, presented by the Young Women’s Service Club, went to Lieutenant Tokia Whiting-Harrison.
Other awards presented at Thursday’s gala included:
- Small business of the Year: Minden Farm and Garden
- Business of the Year: Meadowview Health and Rehab
- Business Person of the Year: Catherine Hunt
- Community Partner of the Year: Mercy’s Closet
A special “Pandemic Heroes” Award was presented to the front line workers at Minden Medical Center.
