Minden City Council To Meet May 4th

After not being able to hold an April meeting due to the lack of quorum, with the absences of council members Vincen Bradford and Terika Walker, the Minden City Council is scheduled to meet on Monday, May 4th at 5:30 p.m. As of time of posting, the Governor has not appointed a representative for City Council District A.

Items on the May agenda include:

 

  • Election of Mayor Pro Tempore
  • Appointment of Interim Representative for District A
  • Termination of City Attorney
  • Hiring of New City Attorney
  • Police Department Hire
  • Fire Department Hire
  • Ordering of Special Election for City Council District A Representative
  • Budget Report
  • Police Report

The City Council will be following Governor Edwards’ order regarding public meetings. Only ten people will be allowed in the Council Chambers, who will be seated six feet apart. Gloves and masks will be available at the door. Due to the limits of those attending, the meeting will be available on the City of Minden Facebook page, on Suddenlink Cable channel 11, on KASO AM 1240, and streamed on the KASO/KBEF website.
