DOTD Area Road Closure Updates

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced several closures for next week for bridge inspection in Shreveport/Bossier City.

•  Monday, June 26, 2023, the US 71 (Spring St./Market St.) bridges over Cross Bayou/Twelve Mile Bayou in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be restricted to one lane in both directions for routine bridge inspection. These lane closures are scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. These bridges are located approximately 0.3 miles north of US 80 (Texas Street). Restrictions/Permits: Vehicles 10 feet wide or smaller will be allowed to pass through the bridge inspection zone. Larger vehicles will need to detour. Alternate Route: N/A This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
• Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the LA 3094 (Hearne Ave) bridge over Twelve Mile Bayou in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be restricted to one lane for routine bridge inspection. This lane closure is scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This bridge is located approximately 0.95 miles north of LA 173 (Hilry Huckaby III Ave).Restrictions/Permits: Vehicles 10 feet wide or smaller will be allowed to pass through the bridge inspection zone. Larger vehicles will need to detour. Alternate Route: N/A This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING
• Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the I-20 eastbound off-ramp bridge to LA 3 (Benton Road) in Bossier City will be closed for routine bridge inspection. This ramp closure is scheduled to take place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to detour. Alternate Route: N/A This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
